To us, winemaking isn’t complicated. We hand pick, hand select, all of our grapes because we care about the quality of the wine and the traditions of vino d’Italia. The result: wines that are effortless and easy to enjoy – every day.
Alfons Giovanett, founder of Castelfeder Winery where Luna Nuda is produced, was fascinated by the effect the phases of the moon have on the winemaking process, and believed that pruning vines, bottling wine, and even tasting is best done under a full moon, or Luna Nuda.
Today, many of these local “traditions” have formed the foundation of biodynamic farming. Alfons believed that these practices not only elevated the quality of the wine, but would bring good fortune. Each full moon, he would gather family and friends, and raise a glass to the positive energy of the lunar cycle.

Our Pinot Grigio is 100% estate grown at Castelfeder Winery in Alto Adige. Our rosé grapes are sourced from select wineries in Abruzzo, while our red blend grapes are sourced in Sicily. Both wines are vinified at Castelfeder. Our Proseccos are grown and produced at the Cantina Montelliana Winery in Treviso.
